Samsung will release the Samsung Galaxy A6, a mid-range Android Smartphone on the 22nd of May 2018. The Samsung Galaxy A6 drops the same day as the Galaxy A6+, both mid-range Android devices with Infinity Display.
Both devices have Infinity Displays with SuperAMOLED panels and a premium design. The Plus model has a dual-rear camera setting.
This post is a quick preview of the Samsung Galaxy A6.
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy A6 sports a reliable metallic body and has its front covered with a glass material. This phone is quite comfortable to hold and sits perfectly in your palm.
This device comes with a 149.9 x 70.8 x 7.7 mm (5.90 x 2.79 x 0.30 in) dimension. With a weight of about 154g.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen, with 16M colors. With a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels, it has an 18.5:9 aspect ratio (~294 ppi density).
Samsung has said that this device supports Infinity Display. In addition, the A6 features Bixby AI built-in, a similarity it shares with the A6+.
This Smartphone also supports Multitouch. With a rear mounted Fingerprint Scanner, it comes in four colors: Black, Gold, Blue, and Lavender.
Hardware and Software
The Samsung Galaxy A6 smartphone comes with the Android 8.0 (Oreo) Android operating system.
Samsung Galaxy A6 is powered by an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset with a 32-bit processor. It also comes with an Octa-core processor that has a clocking configuration of (1.6 GHz Cortex-A53).
Furthermore, it uses a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU for graphics handling.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 comes in two memory variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage.
Both inbuilt memories can be expanded to 256Gb with the use of a microSD card.
Other sensors on this device are Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, compass, and gyroscope.
Camera and Battery
The Samsung Galaxy A6 sports a 16 MP (f/1.7) rear camera. With phase detection autofocus, and LED flash.
In front, there’s a 16 MP (f/1.9) camera. With LED flash. For wonderful selfies, even in low light conditions.
Other features of this camera include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.
As for the battery life, there’s a Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery.

This Samsung Smartphone will sell for about 310 EUR. Which is equivalent to N131,764.
