The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 speaks nothing but “AWESOMENESS”. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is best foldable phone yet, with a more durable design and S Pen support, and the multitasking features are even better. It is mighty expensive, and therefore not for the average consumer, but it starts at a slightly lower price than its predecessors.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Price and Accessibility Review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3’s release date was August 27, 2021. The Galaxy Fold3 price starts at $1,799 for a model with 256GB of storage, while if you want extra capacity you can get a 512GB Galaxy Fold 3 for $1,899.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 can be purchased via Samsung website and Amazon and other electronic device retail stores.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Design Review
Speaking of the magnificent Galaxy Z Fold3 design we have the following;
- Folds from smartphone to mini-tablet
- Hinge is more durable than before
- Has water resistance
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 gives a the wow factor of being able to pull a phone out of your pocket and unfold it to not only reveal a 7.6-inch tablet-like display, but to also show that you’re symbolically ahead of the technology curve.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 retains the book-like design and functionality of its two predecessors, with a limited but usable 6.2-inch Cover Display on the outside of the handset that opens up to reveal a massive 7.6-inch display on the inside.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 adds a lot of in the way of durability, even if it’s still on the bulky side. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is IPX8 water resistant, which means it can withstand being in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. Its stronger Armor Aluminum body and Gorilla Glass Victus display are designed to resist scratches and drops.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Camera Review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 comes with a Triple camera; a 12MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera that’s capable of 2x optical zoom. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 takes colorful and mostly sharp photos. However, it’s a step behind the iPhone 12 Pro in terms of details and more realistic hues.
The images produced out of the three back cameras are decent. With good lighting, you’ll easily achieve some beautiful shots from all three sensors.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Performance Review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 runs on a Snapdragon 888 chip, and it’s backed by 12GB of RAM. There’s also 256GB of internal storage standard, though you can opt for 512GB.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 provides swift performance, whether its running multiple apps at once or racing around the track in Asphalt 9, without glitching or lagging.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 takes 50 seconds to transcode a 4K video to 1080p. That’s faster than the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 1 minute and 2 seconds but still slower than the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s 28 seconds.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Battery Life and Charging Review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 packs a 4,400 mAh dual battery, which is a bit smaller than the Z Fold 2’s 4,500 mAh pack, which in my opinion is quite underrating. Usually the higher the phone grade the stronger the battery life.
It could be that Samsung packed so much tech into the flexible body that it felt the need to chop 100mAh off.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 comes with no charger in the box, so you’ll want to keep your existing charger or buy one separately.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 also supports up to 10W wireless charging. You can also use the back of the Z Fold 3 to reverse wireless charge other devices up to 4.5W.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 Software Review
The software experience of One UI on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is, in short, leaps and bounds ahead of anything the company has tried in the past, and it’s genuinely a seamless experience that’s ahead of many other Android manufacturers.
Since its launch, Galaxy Z Fold 3 not only moved to One UI 4.0 skin on Android 12, it’s also received numerous timely security updates. However, despite the updates, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 yields the same great performance; apps open even faster , multitasking is a flash, and you won’t notice any lag or glitch; the device is extremely reliable and fast.
