Samsung Galaxy M22 Design Review
- 6.5-inch, 1600x720p AMOLED display
- Up to 90Hz refresh rate
- Reliable fingerprint scanner
- Lightly ridged plastic chassis
The Samsung Galaxy M22 is a thick and attractive phone. It is with clad in a plastic shell emblazoned with a lightly textured geometric pattern of ridges, which covers the entirety of the back panel and brings an otherwise simple design to life.
On the Galaxy M22’s right-hand edge are the volume keys and a power button, a reliable and easy-to-reach fingerprint scanner, at the bottom edge are the USB-C charging port and 3.5mm headphone jack; and on the left-hand edge is a slot for a microSD card (up to 1TB) and dual SIMs.
The display is a 6.5-inch, 1,600 x 720 AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate that produces smoother-looking animations. The screen’s aspect ratio is 20:9, pixel density stands at 274ppi, and maximum brightness reaches 600 nits.
Generally, we can say that the Samsung Galaxy M22 has a solid and sturdy build.
Samsung Galaxy M22 Camera Review
The Samsung Galaxy M22 uses a quadruple disposition of rear cameras which cosists a 48-megapixel f/2.0 main lens with an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth lens.
The main camera of the Galaxy M22 has similar specs to that of the Galaxy M21. The 48-megapixel lens combines 4 pixels into a more light-sensitive pixel thus producing 12-megapixel images in default mode. It can also only record in 1080p@30fps, which is fine given the price. With good lighting the camera can capture images with a solid amount of detail. Image quality is decent, autofocus is usually reasonably responsive, and exposure adjusts quickly.
Other features that are quite significantly useful for everyday photography include panorama, food, slow motion, and hyperlapse.
Samsung Galaxy M22 Performance Review
The Samsung Galaxy M22 powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 processor, the same hardware that features inside the Xiaomi Poco M2, Realme 6i and Samsung Galaxy A22. Then the OS is a one UI core, a lighter version of the one UI.
The Galaxy M22 has 6GB of RAM, which means there’s more room for multitasking. Not to mention the 128GB storage space for additional games and media. You can multitask without any noticeable drop in performance, streaming is perfectly smooth, and it handles intensive games, such as Asphalt 8, without a hitch.
In a nutshell, the Samsung Galaxy M22 does not fall below its required performance.
Samsung Galaxy M22 Battery Life and Charging Review
The Samsung Galaxy M22 is battery energy is on the high side, in other words it is highly efficient. It has a clear advantage over the predecessor in this aspect. The 5000mAh battery lasts longer than expected, enough for several days of use.
Samsung’s Galaxy M22 can charge at up to 25W, but only a 15W charger is included in the box. Thus, a charge sometimes takes considerably more than 2 hours.
Samsung Galaxy M22 Software Review
The Phone has Android 11 as the basis for the operating system. However, Galaxy M22 has received the upgrade to Android 12, which runs under Samsung’s OneUI. OneUI has changed quite a bit and is designed so that the device can be operated as comfortably as possible with one hand.
Screen gestures and other reliable features, such as one-handed mode, motions and gestures, and side key functions, are still present. The fingerprint scanner is quick and accurate in terms of security, whereas the face unlock suffers in low light.
In general, the Galaxy M22’s cameras are impressive, and it has the ability to play esports titles at high quality settings. The Galaxy M22 is an inexpensive and relatively compact phone with a 90-Hz AMOLED screen and good battery life.
