The Samsung Galaxy A53 is a “worth every penny” kind of phone recently released by the Samsung company. It is the latest budget phone from the electronics giant, coming in with a big 120Hz display.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Price and Accessibility Review

For $429, you get a Samsung Galaxy A53 factory made phone with all its spectacular properties.

Do take into consideration that with that price, you get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (with microSD card support up to 1TB).

It is made quite accessible because you can buy the phone directly from Samsung and other electronics retailers.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 is currently one of the best cheap phones you can buy.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Design Review

The Samsung Galaxy A53 design can be considered to be effortlessly cool and effective. The plastic body feels nice and far from cheap, even if it does pick up fingerprint smudges rather easily.

The phone measures 159.6 x 74.8 x 8.1mm and weighs 189g, so we’d call it medium-sized. It’s not so big that it’s which makes it very comfortable to use.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 come in four “Amazing” (as Samsung would refer it) colours; Black, White, Blue, Peach.

The right edge of the phone houses the power button and volume rocker, while the USB-C port is exactly where you’d expect it to be. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. There is however, an in-display fingerprint scanner, which we don’t see too often in phones around this price.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 is in fact the best phone display within the price range of $500.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Camera Review

The Samsung Galaxy A53 flaunts a quad camera setup with a 64MP main sensor joined by 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth shooters. Around the front area, you’ll find a 32MP selfie cam.

The Galaxy A53 has an IP67 rating, which means it’s totally dustproof and water resistant at a depth of up to a meter for 30 minutes, as such you can comfortably take amazing pictures even under water.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 can shoot 4K video at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps on the rear cameras, also on the front cameras. It is indeed rare to see a phone that offers that kind of high-res recording on the front snapper. There’s also slow-motion and ‘Super Slow-Mo’.

I honestly find this pretty amazing!

Samsung Galaxy A53 Performance Review

The Galaxy A53 might not be the best gaming device you can get at this price but it surely is a perfect device fpr a day-to-day activity.

The chip here is the Exynos 1280, which is a home-brewed piece of mid-range kit from Samsung. The Galaxy A53 phone would often feel slow to navigate definitely not all of the time, but frequently especially when used to its apex.

The Galaxy A53 outperforms the Pixel 5a in every regard, though the Pixel 5a features a chipset that’s almost two years old.

The Galaxy A53 offers a smoother scrolling, web browsing, social media activities and animations especially with the 120Hz which aids these.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Battery Life and Charging Review

The Samsung Galaxy A53 has a 5,000mAh battery, which is pretty large, though we see lots of mid-rangers pack this kind of power.

It takes quite a long period of time to power the battery, this activity could take up to 2 hours long to charge. With the 25W charger the Galaxy A53 barely beats the Pixel 5a which charges at a slower 18W. There is no wireless charging on the A53.

Samsung Galaxy A53 Software and Special Features Review

Samsung did a great job with the Galaxy A53’s software. It’s the same One UI 4.1 that you’ll find on the Galaxy S22, and that means the device is running Android 12. This ncludes many customization features, better privacy and security, and Samsung’s commitment to updates.

Samsung has committed to providing four years of Android updates for its phones, including the Galaxy A53. That means Android 16 will be able to run on this phone when it arrives in 2025.

The Galaxy A53 is a great phone for $429, one could easily pass Galaxy A53 as the best cheap Android phone.
