Infinix Hot 7 Summary
Infinix Hot 7 smartphone launched in July 2019 and came in Midnight Black, Aqua Blue, and Mocha Brown colors. The Hot series together with the Infinix Note series has been around for years and helped make the brand popular
At its price, the device is competing with the new Huawei Y6 Prime 2019, Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Tecno Spark 3 Pro just to name a few. The Infinix Hot 7 comes in three different variations, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, the other one with and 32GB of internal storage space and the Infinix Hot 7 Pro that will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space.
Display and Design
The phone comes with a 6.19-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1500 pixels. The display is just great for watching movies and pictures and other media content, it gets bright for using outdoors and has great color accuracy. You can set the brightness to change automatically, but I noticed that it does not work well all the time.
Looking at the design quality of the phone, the back cover is made of plastic that does not feel bad at hand. The back cover is detachable to give you access to the two SIM and microSD card slots. However, the battery is not removable.
The smartphone has a notch at the top of the display and a chin at the bottom part of the display. The top-notch holds a front-facing camera and a front-facing flashlight for the camera.
The plastic back houses a single cameras setup, a flashlight, the fingerprint sensor, and the speaker. The back opens up to reveal the SIM card and dedicated microSD card slot, On the right side of the phone is the volume rockers and the power button, on the bottom is the USB 2.0, the primary microphone, and on the top is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Hardware and Performance
Infinix Hot 7 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB) with a dedicated slot.
The Infinix Hot 7 runs XOS 5.0 based on Android 9 Pie and is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 4000mAh battery. The smartphone supports proprietary fast charging. The Infinix Hot 7 is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
The phone has a 4000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery that in many antecedents could last an entire day. it is not a powerful device so it will not bleed the battery so fast, thus, getting up to 7hours of screen on time is not that hard
The Infinix Hot 7 is not a camera-centric smartphone but still has some decent cameras. Do not expect anything out of the ordinary here but you can still get some really good shots.
On the rear, it packs a 13MP primary camera. The rear camera has autofocus, just like any other smartphone. On the front, it packs a 13MP front-facing selfie camera.
Connectivity prospects on the Infinix Hot 7 include Micro-USB, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, and 3G. It’s truly sad that this device does not support 4G
Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Infinix Hot 7 supports face unlock.
Infinix Hot 7 price in Nigeria ranges from ₦30,000 to ₦40,000 depending on the location
