#1: On your phone file manager app, go to /WhatsApp/Databases.
#2: Rename msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt12 to msgstore.db.crypt12.

#4: You will be prompted to RESTORE but before you restore, if you are opt-in for Google Drive backup, you have to delete the backup to prevent WhatsApp from restoring the Google Drive backup instead of the local file you want to restore.
