In this post, I’m going to show you exactly how to enable dark mode on Instagram.
In fact, this feature will help to give you a better surfing experience on Instagram, and today you’re going to learn exactly how to do it, step-by-step.
Why Dark Mode on Instagram?
If you possess a smartphone, you must have been in a situation to decide whether to use a dark or light mode screen setting. Even if you have not adjusted your phone theme settings, websites and social media apps such as Whatsapp, Twitter, Slack, Google Chrome, Instagram etc now offer dark mode settings.
The dark mode feature is also good for mobile devices because it helps to reduce battery consumption, especially for smartphones with OLED display.
Dark mode also reduces your exposure to blue light which affects your ability to sleep, lessen the strain on your eyes and improve the readability of the text. Perhaps, this could be why the dark mode feature has been one of the most popular features of the past year, 2020.
It’s no wonder why popular devices like the Android and iOS have inculcated system-wide dark modes in the past year that enables users to easily flick the switch across their mobile phones.
But note, it is not every mobile app that supports this dark mode feature, but luckily, Instagram does!
