Samsung Galaxy S10e -Full Specification, Review, and Price in Nigeria

Samsung Galaxy S10e

Key Specs

  • Processor Samsung Exynos 9820
  • Front Camera 10MP
  • Rear Camera 12MP + 16MP
  • RAM 6GB
  • Storage 128GB

Samsung Galaxy S10e Summary

Samsung Galaxy S10e smartphone was launched in February 2019. The phone comes with a 5.80-inch touchscreen display. It comes in Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Green, Prism Blue, Canary Yellow, and Flamingo Pink color.

Samsung s-series is the flagship Samsung phone and over the past couple years, Samsung releases two flagships in a year – a regular and plus size. But this year, the company introduced a third one to the flagship line that is a little cheaper than the regular flagship called the s10e.

Design

The Galaxy S10e is the smallest of the three new Galaxy S10 flagship models. The size of the phone is truly amazing and impossible not to like. It is incredibly comfortable to hold and the rounded edges aren’t abrasive on the skin. It has an aluminum and glass back which is a bit slippery when used with one hand, and this phone is a fingerprints magnet.

The Galaxy S10e has a Bixby button, which is programmable to trigger other functions too. You can set the double-press or single-press actions to either launch an app or trigger a Bixby Routine.

The Samsung galaxy s10e unlike the more premium Galaxy s10 models with ultrasonic fingerprint sensors has a standard capacitive one integrated into its power button on the right. It’s highly sensitive, and even a quick touch is enough to unlock the phone. You can also enable gestures for easier access to the notification shade. The power button is in a comfortable position and easy to reach when holding the phone normally.

Display and Design

The Samsung Galaxy S10e has a 5.8-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. The resolution comes a bit lower than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ at just 1080 x 2280 pixels. The Galaxy S10e has Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, whereas its bigger siblings have Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. The display has hole-punch for the front camera which isn’t too distracting and would easily be forgotten after a day of use.

One of the big design differences with the Galaxy S10e is the lack of curved display edges on the left and right side. Instead, the display is flat.

The back of the phone houses only the dual camera setup and looks simple and minimalistic.

The Samsung galaxy s10e ditches the recent trend and have just at the bottom, a 3.5mm headphone jack. It bottom also has USB-C for fast charging and quick transfer of files.

Samsung Galaxy S10e specifications and features and battery

Even though this is the most affordable phone in Samsung’s flagship lineup, there’s nothing low-end about its specifications. The Galaxy S10e is powered by an Octa-core 7 nm Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has an option with 256GB storage and 8GB of RAM. The storage, however, is expandable with a microSD card of up to 1TB.

The Galaxy S10e also features AKG-tuned stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and a whole bunch of sensors. It also includes a hybrid dual-SIM slot, Gigabit LTE and dual 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5, NFC, support for four satellite navigation systems, and USB Type-C.

It runs on Samsung’s new One UI 1.1 is based on Android 9 Pie, and has a Non-removable Li-Ion 3100 mAh battery and supports fast wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy S10e Cameras

The smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back of the device which houses a 12MP primary camera and a 16MP ultrawide camera. The rear camera setup record up to [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] videos. The device also has a 10MP front-facing selfie camera.

Price

The S10e is a great device which comes at around NGN 260,000

Having striking similarities with the Galaxy M10 in terms of design, the Galaxy M20 has an infinity-V display notch at the top of the screen, which houses the front-facing camera. It has a 6.3 inches PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It also keeps to current trend with the rounded corners. The bottom part of the screen has a bit of a chin, and the screen has an 83.6% screen-to-body ratio.

The back panel of the device was curved to fill the side of the device, making it smooth and seamless. Despite being glossy, the back of this phone is not all that slippery. The volume rocker and the power button are located on the right side, the SIM card and microSD card on the left, and on the bottom is a USB-C, the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the speakers. The Galaxy M20 has a fingerprint sensor on the rear, which is a bit high to reach when trying to unlock the device with your finger. Also on the back is a dual-camera setup with a Flashlight

The device comes with a massive 5000mAh battery, which is excellent and runs on One UI based on Android 8.1.

CAMERA

The rear dual-camera setup comes with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP ultrawide camera. And the top of the display housed an 8MP front-facing camera. Interestingly, both the rear and the front-facing cameras shot up to [email protected] video recording.

Overall, the smartphone was made to suit the public, and with a small price of around 45,000 – 55,000 naira, it is effortless for anyone to get their hands on this device.

Samsung Galaxy M10 –Full Specification, Review, and Price in Nigeria

Key Specs

  • Display: 6.22-inch (720×1520)
  • Processor: Samsung Exynos 7870
  • Front Camera: 5MP
  • Rear Camera: 13MP + 5MP
  • RAM: 3GB
  • Storage: 32GB
  • Battery Capacity: 3400mAh
  • OS: Android 8.1 Oreo

Samsung Galaxy M10 smartphone was launched in February 2019. And comes in two colors which are Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black.

CAMERA

The Samsung Galaxy M10 packs a dual-camera rear setup, a 13MP primary camera, and a 5MP ultrawide camera. It also has a 5MP front-facing selfie camera. Both the rear and the front-facing camera shoots [email protected] video.

DESIGN and DISPLAY

The display on the phone is a 6.2-inch HD+ resolution ‘Infinity-V’ TFT display, with a 720×1520 pixels resolution which is its biggest issue. It comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio which isn’t very sharp. For basic day to day activities, such as texting, it would not be much of an issue, so long it does not require heavy visuals. As such, it is not an impressive device for games.

The device is made of plastic and the back panel is curved to the side. The volume rockers and the power button are located on the right side of the device and at the bottom of the device, you would find a MicroUSB 2.0 for charging the device and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The speaker is located at the back rather than at the bottom and on the top-left corner of the back of the phone has the dual-camera setup and flash. However, the phone is a classic fingerprint magnet because of its plastic back.

PROCESSOR

Samsung Galaxy M10 disappoints a bit as it runs on a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, which was released about three years ago and was first seen on the Galaxy J7. It comes on either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. It runs One UI based on Android 8.1 Pie and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery, and although the battery is acceptable given the price, it does not support fast charging.

EXTRA

Samsung Galaxy M10 has no fingerprint sensor but it features face recognition and after using it, it is better to use a pin or no security at all.

Although the smartphone disappoints, it is important to note that it is indeed an entry-level budget phone.

The smartphone is priced at around 30,000 – 40,000 naira
