Your iPhone contains a wealth of valuable and irreplaceable information, ranging from personal images and messages to health information, business contacts, emails, and documents, not to mention dozens of time-consuming downloaded applications and games and hundreds of tunes

If you don’t back up your iPhone data, you risk losing it all if your phone is stolen or destroyed, or if your phone is bricked by a bug in one of Apple’s regular iOS upgrades.

Without iTunes or iCloud, here’s how to back up your iPhone Data

Backing up your iPhone is essential, but iTunes and iCloud are cumbersome and sluggish, and they don’t allow you to take partial backups. We look at it a different way.

Save the contents of your iPhone (and iPad, for that matter) in a secure off-device backup, whether in the cloud or on a Mac or PC, so you can simply restore everything if something goes wrong. This also makes switching to a new device a lot easier.

You can back up your iPhone without iTunes in some different methods. One of them may also be used to back up your iPad or iPod Touch.

If you don’t want to lose your valuable data on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, you’ll need to back it up. You’ll also need to backup and restore data to a new iPhone.

When it comes to iPhone backup, iTunes may be the first thing that comes to mind because it is Apple’s official option for backing up your iPhone data.

However, some of you may dislike iTunes for a variety of reasons. If you prefer to back up your iPhone without using iTunes, keep reading to find out how.

    Constrains of  iTunes’ and iCloud’s

iTunes and iCloud are Apple’s two backup solutions, one for local backups and the other for cloud backups. Both have drawbacks that may discourage individuals from backing up as frequently as they should.

The contents of an iPhone may be backed up to a desktop computer using iTunes.

It’s free to use, but it’s not always intuitive; the software has been criticised for getting bloated over time, and many iPhone users find it difficult to navigate.

Backing up in this manner eats up space on your computer, which isn’t a minor problem if you have a low-storage laptop. Finally, it can only back up an iPhone’s whole contents or none at all; it can’t do partial backups.

Method 1: Using iOS Content Manager to Back Up Your iPhone Without iTunes

Creating a backup with iCloud and Finder might take a long time at times. So, why not use a third-party backup solution to make the backup and restoration procedure a little easier?

If you like, you may use EaseUS MobiMover to back up your iPhone. You may use it to back up your entire iPhone or move data between your iPhone and your Mac at any time. You may effortlessly restore all or particular files from the computer to your device after copying these data to your PC.

Step 1. Use a USB cord to connect your iPhone to your Windows PC > Select “Backup Manager” from of the left panel > Select “Backup” to continue.

Step 2. To back up all files from your iPhone to your computer, check the box next to “Select All” > Choose a destination on your computer > Click “One-Click Backup” to begin the backup process.

Step3: MobiMover will begin backing up your iPhone data to your computer right away, without the need for iTunes. Wait patiently for it to complete.

Method 2: Using Finder to Back Up iPhone to Computer Without iTunes

Since macOS Catalina, iTunes is no longer accessible, and Finder takes over for device backups. If you have a Mac running macOS Catalina and want to back up your iPhone to your computer, Finder is the way to go

Similarly, while the contents of the backup can be viewed or accessed, they are often stored in a manner that you cannot read. And restoring an iPhone from the backup is the sole official way to retrieve files from it.

Without iTunes, here’s how to back up your iPhone to your computer:

Step 1: Plug your iPhone or iPad into your computer and launch Finder.

Step 2: Trust the computer and unlock your phone. To proceed, enter your iPhone password if prompted.

Step 3: Go to “Locations” and choose [your iPhone’s name].

Step 4: To begin backing up your iPhone to your computer without iTunes, choose “Back Up Now.”

    3. Using your Windows PC, make a backup of your iPhone.

Using a cord, connect your iPhone to your computer.

Click the iPhone button on the top left of the iTunes window in the iTunes programme on your PC.

Select Summary from the drop-down menu.

Return to the previous page by clicking Back Up Now (below Backups).

Select “Encrypt local backup,” set a password, and then click Set Password to encrypt your backups.

Select Edit > Preferences, then Devices to see the backups kept on your PC. In the backup list, encrypted backups display a lock symbol.

Note: If you set up Wi-Fi syncing on your iPhone, you can also connect it to your computer wirelessly.

If necessary, go to “Finder” > [your device] > “General” > “Manage Backups” to see where your iPhone backup is stored. The backup may then be shown in Finder by right-clicking it and selecting “Show in Finder.”

It’s worth noting that you shouldn’t alter, move, rename, or extract material from the backup since you risk destroying the files.

If you backed up your iPhone using one of the methods above, you may learn how to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch from the backup by following Apple’s instructions.

    Final Thoughts

These are the three different methods for backing up an iPhone without using iTunes.

If you want to utilise a third-party tool such as EaseUS MobiMover, keep in mind that restoring the backup will wipe your device.

If you want to backup your iPhone using iCloud, be sure you have adequate iCloud storage to store all of your data and preferences.

If you use Finder to back up your iPhone to your computer, you won’t be able to view the contents of the backup and will have to restore the iPhone.

In a few easy clicks, back up your iPhone without iTunes using the method that best suits your needs.
